Paris Impressions.

So, I cannot capture the smell of coffee, of fresh baked bread (literally on the doorstep), of the hospitality of very good friends (and the most generous hospitality it was), but here are a few photographs......

Le College des Bernardins, much restored and now a serene art exhibition space, glorious lightness of slender arches bearing a great weight.

The glass pyramid at the Louvre.

The little cinema La Pagode, an absolute delight, and just around the corner.

A shop doorway in Village St Paul - between the Marais and the river.

I know the French are stylish, but my chickens had better not start getting any ideas....

Fauchon - a sort of Harrods in neon pink.

Palais Royal - again and again.....

A pigeon, well there always has to be a pigeon in Paris....

    The Rodin Museum.

Works by Rodin interspaced by glorious structures by Wim Delvoye,
this lazer cut steel tower - a neo-gothic tower over 10 metres high, shares a horizon with Eiffel Tower and the dome of The Invalides nearby. Delvoye has an `Art Farm' famous for tattooed pigs - the mind boggles..........
