This year Getty Images have assigned an award winning photo journalist Spencer Platt to shoot the tour alongside veteran cycling snapper Bryn Lennon. Spencers recent assignemtns include a US Military embed in Afghanistan, shooting in Lebanon, Iraq and the Congo. Upon hearing Spencer was heading to the tour I was excited to see what kind of imagery would be captured, as his frames would be shot through the eye of a photojournalist, not a sports photographer. Below is just a taster of some of his material pulled from the Getty archive.
