Mumbai, May 25 -- Now, my dhobi, sitting in a corner of the room, is murmuring something about Mallika Sherwat, who has become the most seen and heard Bollywood celeb at Cannes. It seems she's bought the SL 500 Mercedes model to ferry her around the Hollywood by-lanes.
The car, my dhobi says, is the most popular four-wheeler among the big-wigs of the American film frat. But, Mallika, being the desi girl she is, drives pretty typically in the Indian style, which doesn't seem to go down well with her angrez friends, who at times, even make obscene gestures at her. Hmm, why am I not surprised!
