I'm starting to think that Whitebeard is going to die in this battle, but Ace will rise up in his place as a Yonkou, and will strive to be Pirate King, since Sengoku thinks thats what Whitebeard intends. If Whitebeard dies and Ace survives, its pretty logical that Ace will take up what Whitebeard wanted. That'll put Ace and Luffy into competition with each other.
Side note: As we read we saw all the vice admirals start their attack including Aokiji and Kizaru. But one person still hasn't made his move yet and that person is, you guessed right Akainu! You know that guy, who watches everybody do their thing and then out of no where, BAM! He does something. I can't wait to see what he does cause whatever it is its going to be crazy!I think we're all forgetting someone particularly special way up there among the super-powerful Logias. What if Enel were fighting? If he just came in and started blasting his lightning hither and thither against people who can't entirely block it. Honestly, you'd need amazing timing wven with the power to break anything and everything to deflect lightning (WB) although I don't doubt Mihawk could cut the lightning.
Then, if he were there, Luffy could be useful, because honestly, what the hell is he going to do anymore!? If Luffy charged in like he always does (which he most likely will in the issues to come) he's going to die. No argument. THe only person to save him is Hancock and she has to move faster than both Kuma and Moria who both want to see him dead.Speaking of Kuma, who inadvertently orcheastrated this little war (by inducing panic via moving Luffy closer to Ace and rushing the execution), told Luffy 'We won't meet again' or something. If he sees Luffy, will he just leave to keep his promise?
