Continuing my I love Radio 4 theme - at lunch time today there was a programme on the history of Dido's Lament, a piece of music I have always loved. Then they played a recording of Jeff Buckley singing it and it was such a shock, it really did send shivers down my spine. Buckley was described as a lanky figure appearing at the last minute with the words written in an exercise book. People there never forgot the experience as Buckley, an untrained singer, positively burned with the intensity of his involvement in the music.
