Priyadarshan’s forthcoming movie Khatta Meetha is supposedly based on the road mafia in India. The Akshay Kumar and Trisha starrer is a remake of the 1988 Malayalam film ‘Vellanakalude Nadu’, which was also directed by Priyan and starred Mohanlal and Shobana in lead roles. Wel, the Hindi version features Akshay playing a struggling road construction contractor and Trisha stars as the commissioner of his village’s municipality.
