Fossil Beaches


    Amazing fossil beaches at Burton Bradstock and Charmouth. No one is looking upwards instead they are gazing with intense concentration at their feet and there is the tappity tap of the fossil hammers. It reminded me of William Dyce's Pegwell Bay.


    These sandstone cliffs look more stable but


    these blue clay cliffs are particularly unstable - every so often stones come tumbling down, even the ravens give it a wide berth.
